Fringe Glass • Release 1.0

Fringe Glass is an online space dedicated to exploring the old, odd, and overlooked lenses crafted over the last century of cinema and still photography. These lenses—some rare, others surprisingly accessible—often carry the DNA of renowned optical designs. Through this journey, I aim to uncover their quirks and characteristics, preserving their history while unlocking their creative potential. This is not just an archival pursuit but a deliberate, creative one. These lenses will feature in my own projects, spanning commercial ventures and narrative setups alike.

Launching in Fall 2026, Fringe Glass will explore a plethora of wonderful examples collected across the last several years that I’ve yet to debut. Some gems include pieces that I have only seen several examples come up for sale online. I will let the art lead what you’ll see first before we get into the technical minutia. Optics is a means to art. Art a means to optics.
