The Idea | What is Project?

“This. 1. Chronicle” is a documentary film series chronicling the endeavors so-called ‘everyday people’. Stories that otherwise would go without record. A record of people who found and forward projects worth sharing and supporting. Projects often lost in the deluge of the dailies. High-fidelity content exists, yes, but often from the loudest voices with the deepest pockets.

Each film in this series chronicles people paving paths of their choice with independent resourcing impacting local communities while building bigger bastions. Even influencing one’s family is a worthy journey to capture, and these films record the eclectic ways in which some souls serve. Artists. Parents. Business Owners. Brothers. Singers and sisters. People who ‘make practical’ the emotional motivations that brought them to this moment in their journey. People making, creating things they hope outlive them no less loudly than the long lived brands of the world.

Subject & Action | Who do we follow? What do they do?

Authors and Artists. Content Creators and Community Organizers. Filmmakers and Restaurateurs. Painters and Graphic Designers. Musicians and Dancers. Actors, Singers, and others.

Publishing your own book is not easy. Even with modern tools, starting your own business or making your own films of any texture is still a herculean feat. The human experience has not yet fully dulled our sensitivity to the ‘uncanny valley’ that artificial intelligence has yet to fully escape. The touch is still required, especially in local works of community members.

Even if one is not famous. Or wealthy. It all starts with one soul, and begins again with that one chronicle being read by the other. A record of reclaimed spaces, made local by local people, and accessed globally by the wonders of the online and connected world – ‘marvels’ otherwise missed and made mundane by the drone of social media.
